TRCA Permit / Voluntary Project Review (VPR)
A permit under O. Reg. 41/24. Public infrastructure proponents (e.g., provincial agencies) may use TRCA's Voluntary Project Review instead.
You need it when: Development, grading, culverts, tree removal or discharges within a TRCA regulated area.
Why it's needed
- Infrastructure construction counts as development; a permit may be required within TRCA regulated areas.
When to apply
- Hold a pre-consultation meeting and site visit before applying.
- A TRCA permit/letter is often a prerequisite for tree and road-cut permits in regulated areas.
